Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team! As a Clinical Supervisor, you will oversee a team of Counselors (QMHPA/C) and assist with their client caseload and treatment plans, as well as oversee your own client. In addition, you will be responsible for meeting with staff, addressing concerns, and helping conduct training and development of existing and new staff members. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of patient care, managing caseloads, and strong interpersonal skills to manage a team.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular supervision meetings with staff
Oversee training and development of new and existing staff
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Provide strong leadership and guidance to staff in regards to scheduling and treatment plans
Complete all required documentation which includes but is not limited to, the tracking of all individualized behaviors, individual service plans, monthly reports, quarterly reports, discharge planning, progress notes, and all related documentation in compliance with DMAS, Licensure.
Engage in Care Coordination with other staff and community service providers to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities and services being provided.
Maintain compliance with all funding source regulations, rules, and documentation requirements to ensure timely approval of all service authorizations and re-authorizations for our clients.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Clinical Supervisor is desired
The required licensing/certification to perform this role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deep understanding of health care policies and regulations
Demonstratable ability to manage others, including handling scheduling and problem-solving
Completion of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or licensure track related human services field.
Meet the criteria for a Licensed Eligible Mental Health Professional per the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) standards by being registered with the Virginia Department of Health Professions. (For qualified candidates will provide required supervision for licensure.)
Clinical experience, preferably working in Community Mental Health with youth and/or adults with severe mental illnesses and/or behavioral problems.
Must hold a valid, current Commonwealth of VA Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s liability insurance.
Other requirements as assigned by DMAS and/or licensure standards.
