    The Closing Teacher is responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the center at the end of the day. This role involves managing the closing procedures, overseeing the well-being of students, ensuring all facilities are properly cleaned and secured, and preparing for the next day’s activities. The Closing Teacher must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle a range of responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 12:00pm - 6:00pm or Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pm

    Key Responsibilities:

    Supervision & Safety:

    Oversee students during the closing transition, ensuring they are picked up by authorized individuals.

    Ensure all students are safely dismissed according to the center’s policies.

    Conduct a final safety check of the premises to ensure there are no safety hazards before leaving.

    Facility Management:

    Clean and sanitize all teaching materials, classrooms, and common areas as needed.

    Ensure all equipment is properly stored and organized for the following day.

    Set up or prepare any materials for the next day's lessons or activities.

    Turn off lights, secure windows/doors, and lock up the facility.

    Communication & Reporting:

    Communicate with parents or guardians if there are any incidents or special notes about their child’s day.

    Document any concerns or incidents and report them to management.

    Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.

    Administrative Support:

    Assist in inventory tracking for supplies and materials.

    Complete any necessary administrative tasks related to student attendance, reports, or daily logs.

    Help with any special projects or additional duties as assigned by the center's management.

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience working with children in an educational or enrichment setting.

    Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

    Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

    CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain).

    Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently during closing hours.

    Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends, as needed.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.

    Occasionally lift or move materials, supplies, or equipment.

    Work Environment:

    Fast-paced, interactive environment with children.

    Potential for occasional noise levels associated with student activities.
