Key Responsibilities:
Stay at the forefront of cloud technology trends and offerings from various service providers, maintaining thought leadership in the space.
Oversee the architecture of hybrid cloud platforms and ensure comprehensive product design documentation.
Offer expert guidance on cloud design decisions, industry standards, and operational practices.
Actively participate in our Cloud Center of Excellence, shaping and enforcing best practices in cloud engineering, operations, and governance.
Strategically evaluate and implement new cloud services and tools to advance our cloud roadmap.
Lead discussions in the architecture review board and create architectural artifacts that influence key decisions.
Maintain blueprints and reference implementations for cloud products.
Provide guidance on cloud platforms to teams handling complex applications, while effectively escalating risks and issues.
Communicate challenges and solutions across stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
Participate in the preparation and response to RFPs and RFQs, ensuring that solutions align with business requirements and client expectations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in delivering large-scale distributed enterprise platforms with an emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.
Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps methodologies, including infra-as-code, config-as-code, and policy-as-code using tools like Terraform.
Strong background in both on-premises private and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Experience with native cloud orchestration tools (e.g., Azure ARM templates, AWS CloudFormation).
Proficiency in container-native technologies, including Kubernetes and associated networking.
Knowledge of cloud-native logging, monitoring, and operations tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus).
Experience with container technologies and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, pipelines).
Skills in infrastructure automation tools and programming languages (e.g., Ansible, Java, Python).
Cloud IaaS design, including image management with tools like Packer
Native cloud services (e.g., CosmosDB, BigTable). Cloud-native Kubernetes services (AKS, EKS)
Proficiency with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt). Proficient in evaluating client proposals, designing solutions, and crafting responses to RFPs and RFQs
Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
