    Role Summary:

    Exciting times are ahead as we prepare for IPO readiness! We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at our Pittsburgh headquarters. In this role, you'll design, maintain, and support mission-critical AWS-based systems, focusing on cloud-native architecture.     This position is 5-day onsite in our Pittsburgh office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand, document, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.
    • Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS by selecting appropriate AWS services based on requirements (e.g., ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda).
    • Automate cloud deployment and configuration processes through well-designed CI/CD pipelines.
    • Architect, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
    • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef) using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices.
    • Monitor system health, identify issues, and proactively implement solutions to mitigate risks and prevent downtime.
    • Contribute to creation of runbooks, work instructions and standard operating procedures to improve process automation.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation for production support.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.
    • Must possess a demonstrable knowledge of enterprise systems, network, security, and software administration and engineering within a cloud environment.
    • Experience with containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) workloads in AWS.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) and Infrastructure/Config automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc).
    • Strong understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and system monitoring tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
    • Experience with agile development methodologies.
    • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) patterns leveraging Terraform or related technologies.
    • Experience participating in security audits and compliance programs (e.g. PCI, SOC 2 Type 2, etc.) is a plus
    • Experience monitoring system performance and troubleshoot issues is a plus.
    • Experience working with disaster recovery procedures and participating in security audits is a plus.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
