    SG2 Recruiting has partnered with IntelliDine, a growing IT process and architecture firm, to hire a Cloud Security Engineer to support mission-critical projects at the IRS. IntelliDine is building an elite team dedicated to transforming IRS systems to create seamless, user-friendly experiences. This initiative will enhance the lives of millions of Americans and set the foundation for a new era of government efficiency and effectiveness. The modernization effort focuses on four key areas: improving taxpayer experience, enhancing core taxpayer services and enforcement, modernizing operations, and ensuring robust cybersecurity and data protection.

    As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

    • Monitor cloud platform threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
    • Research and advise on cloud security best practices, AWS services, compliance needs, and FedRAMP authorization.
    • Develop security architecture, documentation, and policies.
    • Create and manage System Security Plans and Contingency Plans.
    • Lead security control reviews.
    • Address security findings, create POAMs, and manage compliance processes.
    • Maintain knowledge of security regulations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security compliance.
    • Stay updated on the latest cloud security threats and best practices.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes.
    • Provide security training and awareness to the organization.

    Required Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree and a public trust or IRS Moderate Background Investigation (MBI).
    • Experience in monitoring threats, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities related to cloud platforms, as well as potential attack vectors and applicable security controls.
    • Experience researching and providing guidance on cloud security best practices, AWS capabilities and services, compliance requirements, and FedRAMP authorization processes.
    • Experience in assisting with developing security architecture, security package documents, and policy documents.
    • Experience in drafting, revising, and managing System Security Plans and Information System Contingency Plans.
    • Experience in leading reviews of security controls.
    • Experience in addressing findings, documenting Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs), and managing cybersecurity compliance processes.
    • Knowledge of security compliance regulations.

    It is a plus if you have:

    • Experience in applying and managing physical security requirements.
    • Experience in military or civilian government, including federal, state, or local levels.
    • Experience with handling sensitive compartmented information (SCI) or special category information.
