Job Title: Cloud Systems Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote - US W2 Only
Employment Type: Contract
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the program’s functional capabilities, including system and derived requirements.
- Collaborate with team leads to manage and plan requirements, ensuring alignment with epic goals.
- Interpret and analyze system requirements, ensuring procedures meet the verification criteria for system functionality.
- Develop, maintain, and update program architectural diagrams and documentation as required.
- Manage system requirements to align with project objectives and timelines.
Technical Skills & Responsibilities:
- Java Development: Proficient in Java 21, with extensive experience in Spring, Spring Boot, and Java Persistence API (JPA).
- Cloud Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Test-Driven Development: Expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Functional Programming principles.
- Databases: Proficiency in both Relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases for data management and application integration.
- Version Control & Tools: Experience with GitHub, IntelliJ, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and New Relic for version control, development, and monitoring.
- Testing Frameworks: Strong experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber for continuous integration and quality assurance.
Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Agile Methodology knowledge, with active participation and contribution to Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprints, stand-ups).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data solutions and business intelligence analytics initiatives.
- Ability to manage and optimize workflows for scalable cloud applications.
- Strong architectural understanding for building robust cloud infrastructure.
