Overview:
Join our innovative team in the Power Systems division, where we are leading the way in green energy technology. We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to support the Electrolyzer production planning area. This role offers experience in developing state-of-the-art manufacturing processes for cutting-edge renewable energy solutions. As part of a collaborative team, you will work with industry-leading simulation tools and gain valuable insights into production planning, continuous improvement, and advanced manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Simulation Development:
Work with cross-functional team members to build and refine an accurate and flexible simulation of a future production line using Siemens Technomatix software. You will be instrumental in ensuring the simulation meets production, capacity, and process requirements.
Siemens Technomatix Expertise:
Become proficient in Siemens Technomatix software to create and manage simulation models. You'll apply this expertise to model, test, and optimize various production scenarios to support value stream development.
Value Stream Optimization:
Apply Bosch Production System (BPS) principles and methodologies to the production value stream, aligning with the company's product development, continuous improvement process (CIP), and plant efficiency goals.
Dynamic Project Participation:
Contribute to a fast-paced and evolving project environment, adapting to changes and challenges as they arise. Be proactive in identifying and addressing issues to ensure smooth project execution.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Interface and collaborate with diverse teams, including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain departments, to ensure an increasingly accurate simulation that meets project and company goals.
Organizational Support:
Support various organizational initiatives, such as process improvement projects, documentation updates, and data analysis, to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the division.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
Exercise critical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations with minimal supervision. Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges in manufacturing.
Relationship Building:
Establish strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, from shop-floor personnel to senior management, fostering collaboration and effective communication.

Additional Information
Housing Stipend of $3,000 per rotation for interns who attend school more than 50 miles away from Bosch Anderson.
Availability: Spring 25, Summer 25, Fall 25 OR Spring 25, Fall 25, Summer 26
Large student network on-site with approximately 25-30 college students.
