    Beechjet 400A Captain CoPilot: Widewaters Aviation is a FAR Part 91 flight department based in Syracuse NY. Reports to the Director of Aviation and/or Chief Pilot. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a 4 year college or University; 5 years flight experience, 1 year as Captain. Total Flight Time: 1500 hours Turbine Time: 175 hours Jet Time: 100 hours LANGUAGE SKILLS: Read and speak the English language proficiently. Ability to effectively speak, communicate with other crew members as well as on the radio with ATC. In addition, must be able to present information to customers, clients and employees of the organization and management. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of aviation, intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Department of Motor Vehicle Driver’s License Jet Type Rating (BE-400 Type Rating preferable but negotiable) FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate 1 st Class Medical Must be able to pass a background check No accidents or violations The position requires living within 2 hours of Syracuse airport. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES including the following and other duties may be assigned. NOTE: The foregoing list is intended to be a summary of duties and responsibilities required by the person who assumes the position noted above. The list may be expanded, reduced, or changed in a way that the company, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate in order to accommodate the various business interests of the company. TRAVEL/TIME COMMITMENT: On days there are flights, pilots are expected to show no less than 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. During this time a preflight shall be conducted, charts downloaded as necessary, weather for departure, en-route and arrival obtained, clearances obtained and loaded into the FMS, fuel load shall be requested and verified that there is sufficient fuel for the destination and required alternate fuel. After flights are completed, the pilots shall complete all the required paperwork, clean the interior of rubbish and wipe down the interior, restock the aircraft so should there be a pop up trip the next day, the aircraft is presentable. Post flight inspection shall be conducted at this time including checking the engine oil. On non-flying days, you will be expected to report to the hangar to detail the aircraft including wash, wax, shampoo carpeting, restocking snacks and beverages, etc. as needed to ensure the aircraft is dispatch ready for the next flight. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
