We are seeking to hire energetic and courteous baristas who can help us achieve our vision of fueling our customers' "inner badass" by inspiring people to be true to themselves through the tradition of Hawaiian-grown coffee.

Our baristas are charged with greeting customers, answering questions, providing recommendations, taking orders, and accepting payments. Our baristas also craft and serve high quality beverages and food, to include distinctly hot drinks (coffees, espressos, lattes, and teas), specialty cold drinks (coffees, lattes, smoothies, and teas) and gourmet foods (bagels, donuts, muffins, and sandwiches); engaging with a captivating experience and building enduring customer relationships.
Barista Responsibilities:
• Welcome customers and inform them of new items and specials; answers questions, accepts orders and payments, and seek feedback to resolve complaints.
• Learn brew methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques; discover new methods to improve food quality and customer experience.
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and friendly manner; exhibit a thorough understanding of all menu offerings to aid in customer decisions.
• Prepare and serve beverages (coffees, smoothies, and teas) and foods (bagels, muffins, and sandwiches); provides product suggestions and assist customers with special orders.
• Clean and restock dining areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils; comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Take inventory and replenish items in display cases, at tables, and behind the counter; update displays and signage to retain customer interests and attract new customers.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls, including health department regulations, fire and building codes, food codes, and sanitation procedures.

Barista Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills.
• Committed to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
• Being efficient, organized and calm, especially during high customer volume.
• Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
• Available during peak hours, to include nights, early mornings, full weekend availability, and holidays.
• Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service a plus!
• Physically agile, dexterous, and able to lift minimum 40 pounds.

Position Details:
• Classification: Hourly, Nonexempt. Part-time work available.
