Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to address complex neurological conditions, and we are seeking a skilled Cognitive Speech Therapist to join our team.

    Job Summary: We are looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate Cognitive Speech Therapist to provide specialized therapy to patients with cognitive and communication disorders resulting from neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing and treating cognitive-communication deficits, as well as developing individualized therapy plans to help patients achieve their highest potential for functional communication and cognitive performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with neurological conditions to identify cognitive-communication deficits. Utilize a variety of standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.

    Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs, goals, and abilities. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

    Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based interventions to improve cognitive-communication skills, including attention, memory, executive function, language, and social communication.

    Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about cognitive-communication disorders, therapy goals, and strategies for improving communication and cognitive function.

    Collaboration: Work closely with neurologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

    Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Ensure documentation complies with practice standards and regulations.

    Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of cognitive speech therapy and neurology. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

    Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Arizona

    Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.

    Minimum of 0-1 years of experience in cognitive speech therapy, preferably within a neurology or rehabilitation setting.

    Strong knowledge of cognitive-communication disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

    Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
