Overview:
· On-Site Care of Knoxville is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collaborating Doctor to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in providing medical expertise, collaborating with Nurse Practitioners or Physician assistants as well as other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, exceptional collaborative skills, and a dedication to improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and/or Physician Assistants (PAs) to provide direction and oversight in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
· Review and approve patient treatment plans, prescriptions, and diagnostic tests ordered by NPs/PAs to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards of care.
· Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging studies, and biopsies.
· Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications and therapies
· Conduct periodic chart reviews and provide feedback to NPs/PAs to support their professional development and ensure quality of care.
· Participate in case conferences and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop comprehensive care plans for complex patients.
· Serve as a resource for NPs/PAs, providing medical expertise, guidance, and consultation on complex cases.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure evidence-based, high-quality patient care.
· Collaborate with other physicians and specialists to coordinate care for shared patients, including referrals and consultations as needed.
· Stay current with developments in medical practice, treatment modalities, and healthcare regulations, and incorporate new knowledge into clinical practice and protocols.
· Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other relevant activities to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.
· Maintain professional licensure, certifications, and continuing medical education requirements as mandated by the state licensing board and professional organizations.
Qualifications:
· Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
· Board certification in a primary care or relevant specialty, and licensure to practice as a physician in the state of employment.
· Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or a related specialty.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care model, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong clinical acumen, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
· Experience in mentoring, teaching, or supervising advanced practice clinicians (NPs/PAs) is desirable.
· Ability to balance clinical duties with administrative responsibilities, including contributing to policy development and guideline implementation.
· Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies.
· A commitment to maintaining professional development and staying abreast of new developments in medicine and healthcare regulation.
· Valid medical license to practice in the state with precedence for multi-state license-TN, VA, KY, FL.

· The Collaborating Doctor will work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, collaborating closely with NPs, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The role requires a flexible approach to patient care, strong communication skills, and a dedication to interdisciplinary collaboration. This position may involve a combination of direct patient care, administrative responsibilities, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
· Review at minimum 20% of case files and collaborate with NP’s/PA’s once every 30 days.

Benefits:
· Pay $9,500.00 -$10,500.00 per NP/PA per year per license agreement.
