    Job Overview:

    We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Collateral Document Specialist to join our Servicing team in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the review of collateral files and ensuring the accuracy of collateral documentation related to mortgage loans throughout the post closing lifecycle. Additionally this position will be responsible for the review, follow up, organizing and shipping trailing documents.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collateral Document Collection, Preparation, and Shipping : Responsible for handling all collateral files received on a daily basis. Careful review of the completion of every package according to the check list, file it according to the industry standards and shipping to the custodian.
    • Post Closing Inbox Management : Responsible for monitoring and managing the post-closing inbox, addressing the exceptions and other relevant requests. Ensuring all emails and documents are promptly reviewed, processed, and archived accurately.
    • Coordination with Teams : Collaborate with underwriting, closing, and servicing to resolve discrepancies or issues with collateral documentation.
    • Trailing Document Retrieval & Filing: Maintain organized, up-to-date electronic and physical trailing documents for all mortgage loans. Communicate with title, escrow, attorneys, and other stakeholders as necessary to obtain missing documents.
    • Executing Assignments : Coordinate the execution of assignments requested by loan buyers and loan servicers.
    • Problem Resolution : Proactively identify and address any discrepancies or missing documents, working with title companies, attorneys, and other external partners to resolve issues efficiently.
    • Process Improvement : Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of processes related to collateral document management.

    Required Qualifications:

    • This is a full time in-office position
    • Prior experience in collateral document management is not required
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Excellent attendance record and punctuality
    • Comfortable in working with spreadsheets and email
    • Highly organized with handling physical and electronic documents
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
    • Currently own Washington State Notary Public license or willing to obtain
