    Royal Furniture is seeking an Experience Collections Manager to join our team at our corporate office in East Memphis! The Collections Manager will collaborate with the CFO and other Senior Management team members to set the strategic direction of the department. This position is responsible for the overall strategy, production and performance of the entire debt collections operations including collections, repossessions, specialty collections and remarketing efforts in accordance with established policies and procedures, legal and NCUA regulatory guidelines while protecting Royal’s assets, financial interest, and reputation.

    Essential Functions

    The essential functions of this position may include, but not limited to:

    Planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of all aspects of the collections functions and processes including the development, implementation and administration of collections strategies to mitigate loss while ensuring that credit and collection policies, procedures, practices, and documentation meet federal and state regulations.

    Proactively identifying and maintain systematic processes that benefit both the borrower and Royal in responding to borrowers with delinquent accounts.

    Monitor and track collections trends; Develop and oversee processes related to the timely and compliant administration and reporting charge off and repossession activities.

    Develop and review accurate reporting procedures on collection activities; Prepare and analyze reports for senior management and/or the Board.

    Authorize legal proceedings and any other legal remedies required to minimize loss: Review all legal notices for accuracy and compliance.

    Manage all aspects of departmental staffing, to include: hiring, training, coaching, and developing: Assign, monitor, and supervise the work load and performance goals and service standards.

    Handle escalated collection calls, complex situations, and resolving difficult or non-routine collection issues.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements include but are not limited to:

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline or and equivalent combination of education and experience.

    5+ years of collection experience.

    Strong knowledge of collections, practices and lending qualifications associated with loan processing and underwriting profession.

    Solid knowledge, compliance and administration of federal and state bankruptcy codes and regulations.

    Demonstrate Leadership qualities including motivating, coaching and engaging staff

    Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism with a positive and encouraging demeanor.

    Must be willing to work flexible hours, days, evenings, and weekends.

    Must pass a drug and background screen.
