    Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking a Collections Specialist to join a dynamic team! This organization, a family-owned company providing high-quality tractor-trailer equipment and service throughout the Western U.S., is seeking a Collections Specialist. The Collections Specialist will be supporting multiple branches with their collections, including cash applications and reconciliations. In this role, you’ll work closely with our proactive collections team, managing national accounts and overseeing up to $1M-$2M in receivables across 300 accounts.

    Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

    • Proactively manage and collect receivables for national and regional accounts.
    • Conduct outbound collections calls ("dialing for dollars") to secure payments and resolve account issues.
    • Utilize cash applications and reconciliation software to track and apply payments.
    • Collaborate with a team of five collectors, helping to enhance processes and ensure timely payment.
    • Handle escalated issues, follow up on payment statuses, and close outstanding invoices.
    • Regularly utilize Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) to analyze receivables data and generate reports.
    • Work with ERP, Business Central, and other accounting tools for cash applications and reconciliations.

    Collections Specialist Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of collections experience, preferably in consumer or commercial collections.
    • Experience handling accounts receivable in a business setting, ideally managing up to $1M-$2M receivables across 300 accounts.
    • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
    • Experience with cash application software and reconciliation tools.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to manage relationships with multiple branches and national accounts.
