    ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

    OVERVIEW

    United Way of Weld County (UWWC) is adopting a Collective Impact, backbone support infrastructure needed to foster cross sector communication, alignment, and collaboration to achieve community level common agenda. UWWC is actively looking for a compassionate advocate for change and willing to be responsible for overseeing system improvements related to the collective impact process in Weld County. This process known as the backbone, supporting a network of community partners who work to advance system performance improvements that ensure equitable access for the most vulnerable and marginalized individuals and evaluates collective impact outcomes.

    The role of the Collective Impact Facilitation Coordinator role is to facilitate, coordinate, manage commitments, build capacity, and provide research in support of community volunteers, agencies and other stakeholders’ efforts. The Collective Impact Facilitation Coordinator is the primary force that leads teams that convene collaborative working groups developing trusting relationships with community partners and stakeholders; and works to create an environment where staff and partners use the skills of adaptive leadership, results based facilitation, ensure coordination and accountability, continuous improvement and addressing disparities to achieve large scale, collective change.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Collective Impact Facilitation

    Implementation of a county wide collective impact, backbone strategy and align partners organizations to support a large-scale collective change.

    Convene, facilitate and design a community wide process to develop the collective impact process in Weld County with a priority placed on equity, and guide the vision and strategy of the common agenda

    Facilitate community member led steering committees and workgroups to coordinate a set of differentiated mutual reinforcing action plans.

    Implement system improvements to increase equity and lower disparity in the collective impact processes and outcomes for the most vulnerable and disproportionately affected populations, including victims of domestic violence, homeless, racial/ethnic minorities, youth, and the elderly

    Facilitate dialogue between partners, provide direct support for steering committee and workgroups as needed.

    Ensure members engage in frequent structured communication to build trust, assure mutual objectives to foster the cross-sector alignment, and collaboration to achieve community level systems change.

    Recruit, educate and onboard new community partners into the collective impact system; monitor engagement and participation of existing members

    Manage data collection among funded partners and support data for continuous learning, adaptation, and improvement.

    Cultivate broad relationships throughout the community in coordination with the steering committee and workgroup members, seeking to build an inclusive effort that authentically engages and fosters ownership within the community.

    Facilitate and coordinate steering committees and workgroup meetings that include but are not limited to setting up meeting locations, preparing agendas, scheduling, note taking, maintaining membership contact data bases and other materials needed for use during meetings.

    Embodies the principles of adaptive leadership: the ability to focus people’s attention and create a sense of urgency, the ability to encourage stakeholders without overwhelming them, the competence to frame issues in a way that presents opportunity.

    Regularly interpret and present at community events meetings and conference on the collective impact progress and performance measures.

    Contribute to planning, implementation, analysis of the annual collective impact annual grant funding process; identify and implement suggested areas for change

    Contribute to the narrative portions of grant applications and reports that support the work of collective impact.

    Analyze data using an equity lens to identify areas for system improvement; In partnership, lead efforts to implement data-informed improvements

    United Way of Weld County General

    Support and promote the mission, values, goals and objectives of United Way, including representing United Way in professional organizations and the community (as assigned).

    Support fundraising efforts of United Way and activities that support United Way.

    Support United Way annual events, disaster response, and other activities as assigned.

    Participate in staff meetings and in service opportunities.

    Contribute to organizational promotions including writing promotional copy, proofreading informational and campaign materials, participation in outreach, etc.

    Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    Associates Degree and 1 year experience in organizing, facilitation of community wide issues, system building or a related role in nonprofit, education, human services, health care, government or private business.

    POSITION INFORMATION

    Reports to: Vice President of Community Impact

    Location: Greeley, CO (must be willing to travel throughout Weld County)

    Eligible for remote work: Yes after 90 days of employment with supervisors’ approval
