    Position Overview: As a FT Collector at Prince William Surgery Center, you will play a crucial role in managing patient accounts and ensuring timely payment for services rendered. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and collections, showcasing longevity in past roles and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct timely and effective follow-up on outstanding patient accounts.
    • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve billing issues and inquiries.
    • Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
    • Utilize billing software and electronic medical records systems to track payments and update patient records.
    • Collaborate with the billing team and other departments to streamline processes and optimize revenue cycle performance.

    Required Skills

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
    • Minimum HS Diploma or GED required.
    • Proficiency in medical terminology, insurance billing, and coding.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated longevity in past roles, highlighting commitment and reliability.
