Job Location & Work Arrangement:

In-Person: We seek teachers who can commute to our San Jose, CA location and conduct in-person sessions.

Remote: We are also open to remote teaching opportunities, but applicants must reside in California to be considered.

About Us: Elite Prep San Jose is a leading college counseling and test prep center dedicated to helping students achieve their academic and college admission goals. We are looking for an experienced and passionate College Essay Instructor to guide students through the college application essay process, helping them craft compelling, authentic, and well-structured essays.

Responsibilities:

Work 1-1 with high school students to develop personal statements and supplemental essays for college applications.

Provide constructive feedback on brainstorming, structure, content, tone, and grammar.

Manage deadlines, ensuring timely completion of essays.

Stay updated on college admissions trends and essay expectations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a top university (English, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred).

Experience in college essay coaching, tutoring, or teaching writing (2yr+)

Strong knowledge of college admissions and essay expectations.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Ability to provide structured, personalized, and constructive feedback.

Experience working with high school students.
