7EDU is a leading college prep academy that helps middle and high school students navigate their academic journey and stand out in the college admissions process. We specialize in personalized learning, test prep, and college counseling and now we’re looking for a creative, insightful, and student-focused College Essay Coach to join our team.

The Role

We are seeking a coach who knows how to help students find their voice, dig deeper, and tell authentic, compelling stories in their college essays. This isn’t just proofreading it’s guiding students through the brainstorming process, uncovering what makes them unique, and helping shape ideas into standout applications. You’ll also collaborate with our team of counselors to ensure consistent support and strategy across each student’s journey.

What You’ll Do

• Guide students through brainstorming, outlining, and refining their college essays

• Ask thoughtful questions to uncover personal stories and original perspectives

• Provide constructive feedback that strengthens voice, clarity, and structure

• Collaborate with 7EDU’s college counseling team to align essay strategy with application goals

• Track student progress and maintain clear communication with team members

What We’re Looking For

• Strong writing/editing skills and a passion for storytelling

• Experience working with high school or college-bound students preferred

• Knowledge of U.S. college admissions expectations and essay standards

• Empathetic, curious, and able to connect meaningfully with teens

• Organized, responsive, and reliable even with a flexible schedule

• Bonus if you have teaching, tutoring, or admissions experience
