    College Financial Representative - Internship Program

    The Northwestern Mutual College Financial Representative internship offers a hands-on experience in building a financial planning practice with the support of a Fortune 500 company. Interns gain guidance, connections, and tools to develop their skills while engaging with experts and selling exclusive products. Key benefits include:

    Prior Experience? Began as an intern with NM during college.

    Passionate About? Enjoys spending time with family, watching Nebraska Husker football, golfing, and hunting.

    Klay Uher - College Unit Director:

    How long with NM? Been with NM for 5 years.

    Prior Experience? Was a student-athlete (basketball) before starting with NM as an intern.

    Passionate About? Coaching youth basketball, competition, helping people and giving back!

    Russell Walton - Financial Advisor:

    How long with NM? Been with NM for 12 years.

    Prior Experience? Previously a bank teller, sales intern, then began as an intern with NM.

    Passionate About? Loves sports such as wrestling, football, and golf. He also enjoys spending time with family and traveling.

    Jennifer Brase - Managing Partner:

    How long with NM? Been with NM for 35 years.

    Prior Experience? Graduate of University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Briefly worked process student loan claims prior to seeking a greater, growth oriented career with NM.

    Passionate About? Loves Nebraska Cornhusker football, camping, taking her kids on new adventures, and spending time with friends and family.

    Laurie Sagehorn - Director of Development:

    How long with NM? Been with NM for 5 years.

    Prior Experience? Was in Pharmaceutical Sales prior.

    Passionate About? Loves cheering on her son’s high school sports teams. Enjoys family time as well as traveling.
