    • Denver, CO Full-time, Part-time About Us Colorado Appraisal Consultants is a small and growing appraisal firm based out of Denver, Colorado. We have an excellent reputation and provide a remote working opportunity. We provide extensive growth and income opportunities, time off, infrastructure and knowledge. We strive to be the leading provider in our market while also maintaining an excellent work-life balance by taking time off to travel, ski and enjoy the Colorado outdoors. Cody Gale, the lead appraiser and founder, is an MAI and Colorado native. We are not your typical, stuffy office, stuck-in-a-cube-all-day employer! Opportunity We are looking for one or a small handful of trainees who have completed their education for residential or general (commercial) appraisal licensing and need experience hours to gain the license. We do mostly commercial appraisals which means you will have the opportunity to go straight to a Certified General License. We need someone who is self-motivated, diligent, has excellent writing abilities, and most importantly, can follow instructions. Again, we need someone who can follow direct and specific instructions! Problem solving is also very important. If you demonstrate your ability to perform at a high level, you will have the opportunity to become a Senior Commercial Appraiser for us when you gain the license. This is mostly a remote position besides some property inspections. Responsibilities Developing and preparing portions of the appraisal report such as: - Property identification - Site factors such as location, access, frontage/visibility, etc. - Building factors such as type of construction, construction details, improvement analysis, etc. - Public records research - Market research and analysis - Comparable sales/rentals research and analysis Strong writing skills are a must. You do not have to use top notch business acumen every word, but you do have to be able to produce grammar and error free work consistently. Being able to explain things simply and concisely is very important. Knowledge of Word and Excel are also very important. Requirements Completion or near completion of pre-licensing appraisal education. We will not accept a candidate who is not fully or mostly complete with all of their pre-licensing education. Demonstrating your ability to write is a must. Please provide a resume and writing sample. If you don't have a writing sample on hand, Google Denver real estate trends and provide a brief summary of your findings. Or a similar topic. Basically just come up with something that is well-written and is generally accurate. Please do not spend more than a few hours on this (max). Experience in finance or real estate is helpful. Compensation Competitive and flexible. Depending on your needs, goals, and experience. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time 12 hours ago - save job
