Ski Shop Associate/Rental Tech - $20-22/hr (starting)
Pioneer Sports is one of Colorado's finest bike, ski, and snowboard rental shops. We have been serving Summit County's guests and locals since 1980. We continue to offer convenient locations, quality goods and services, and a strong commitment to making our customer's ski days memorable.
Job Outline:
- Duties that fall under associate are Register, Rental Tech, or Boot fitting & Returns. Associates may be asked to only do one of these full time or some of each.
- Register: Employees will run the POS system and handle money. You will be responsible for keeping an accurate drawer count and will be evaluated on efficiency and correctness. You will also have miscellaneous housekeeping duties and may be asked to help with boot fitting and returns.
- Rental Tech: Employees will tech and spin DIN on ski rental set ups. These employees will need to get certified. You will also be asked to help out with boot fitting, returns, miscellaneous and general housekeeping duties.
- Boot Fitter/Returns: Employees will be trained on fitting ski and board boots, will set up snowboards, run the return station, and will be asked to do miscellaneous & housekeeping duties.

Qualifications/requirements:
1. Education - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Reasoning Ability/problem solving - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
3. Language Skills - In English, the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
4. Lifting and Caution - Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and have the ability to show caution while handling bikes in regards to sharp metal objects or parts of the bike.
