As we are closely affiliated with VA hospitals and programs, the shifts can vary with the needs of each patient, starting with 4 hours per day. Qualifications:
Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification
Full Physical Report and Drug Screening--within the past year
2 professional reference letters–within the past 3 years
Eligible to work in the United States
Patience, empathy, and compassion!
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with activities of daily living, as well as thoughtful or creative activities to engage each unique client. Depending on their individual needs, you may be asked to help with:
Dressing, grooming, and hygiene (if needed)
Ambulation around the house
Encouraging exercise and fluids
Light housekeeping
Meal preparation
Running errands
Accompaniment to doctor's appointments
