    Job Summary:

    The Caregiver provides clients with personal and life style support services in accordance with an established plan of care, with the goal of helping them to remain in their homes.

    Essential Functions:

    Personal Care

    Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, nail /skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair, walker, crutches, cane), positions changing, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding, light housekeeping maintenance.

    Medication Services

    Assist and document medications that the client self-administers

    Qualifications/Educational Requirements/Administrative Requirements

    High school graduate or equivalent certificate

    Successful completion of a recognized Canadian Certified PSW/ or Health Care Aide Course. (RN applicants with degrees from outside of Canada will also be considered)

    At least 1 year experience as a PSW-preferably with another agency, or in a Retirement or LTC setting

    Updated VSS (vulnerable screening sector police check) , TB test, CPR certification.

    Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
