Comfort One Shoes Women’s Footwear Buyer,

We are known for our outstanding customer service and vast selection of quality footwear in stores and online. We are looking for an Women’s Buyer to join our growing merchandising team.

The Women’s Footwear Buyer role will be to build and grow the women’s product assortment both in stores as well as our website. This ensures the best possible products, prices, and experiences for Comfort Ones Shoes loyal customers!

Responsibilities:

· Identify/manage emerging and declining trends in a timely manner

· Build a well-balanced assortment of women’s shoes

· Develop class assortment plans that quantify the seasonal buys correctly by store volume group, address location and lifestyle differences of our customers

· Work in a team environment.

· Maintain margin, turn and GMROI that align with company goals

· Monitoring of company merchandise reports, Open-To-Buy and stock analysis reports.

· Responds timely to selling and marketing opportunities to ensure the continued growth of the organization

· Distribute merchandise to locations most in need of specific product

· Develop effective relationships with vendors and appropriately interact with them to follow up on open business issues.

· Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through communication with merchandise team and external vendors

· Effectively utilize the merchandising systems and understand warehouse process

· Ability to multi-task, excellent time management skills

· Develop and train associate/assistant buyers

· Reports to the Director or Merchandise

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree with 5 plus years of buying experience preferred.

· Prior retail experience a plus.

· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

· Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to learn additional systems used by our Merchandizing team

· Thorough knowledge of retail math. Sales, gross margin, OTB calculations, initial mark-up, and turn.

· Strong negotiation skills

• Experience meeting multiple deadlines

· Ability to travel to different markets both locally, domestically and internationally

· Available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including some weekends in the peak seasons
