In this role you will be responsible for all business development within the commercial market, identification of long-term methods to increase value through the development of relationships, markets and customers to take steps to measure, enhance, and enrich the position and image of a company through various goals and objectives.

     

    Immediate opening for a Commercial Aerospace Sales Manager in Orange County who possesses:

    • MUST have good writing skills
    • Degree and 5+ years of progressive business development/sales in commercial aerospace goods
    • Proven track record of building new business and expanding on existing clients/markets
    • Ability to report out and provide regular updates on sales funnel
    • Experience with delivering on KPI’s in a metric driven environment

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Identifying opportunities: Researching and identifying new business opportunities and developing plans to grow the business
    • Relationship building: Building and maintaining relationships/partnerships with customers, partners and competitors.
    • Collaborating: working closely with other teams such as sales, manufacturer’s reps and engineering to share knowledge and provide/receive data on the marketplace
    • Business development planning: Developing and executing business growth strategies
    • Sales: Identifying new sales leads, pitching products and services, and managing client accounts
    • Sales forecasting: Carrying out sales forecasts and analysis
    • Sales contracts: Preparing and submitting sales contracts to management for approval.
    • Reporting: Reporting on business development activities and outcomes
    • Training: Training and assisting new team members
    • Delegation: Delegating tasks to team members and evaluating their performance
    • Meetings: Arranging and attending business meetings and conferences
    • Focus on company growth in the Commercial aerospace marketplace, create required documentation and actionable information for the engineering and sales teams, track and manage that information and analyze the market and its influences.
    • Must be skilled in competitor analysis, market research and technical writing. Must understand business fundamentals and conduct ROI analyses. Strategize how the decision criteria of the prospects or customers can be changed so that they buy the company’s product vis a vis the competitor product.
    • Refine, develop and champion our short- and long-term market strategy.
    • Develop, maintain and execute the product objectives, strategies and positioning based on corporate business plan.
    • Develop a go-to market strategy
    • Support back-office sales support as it relates to order entry, services and or customer expectations.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of existing customer business needs, industry trends, emerging customer segments, market and prospective customer opportunities.
    • Develop and coordinate with marketing any product plans and criteria for new products including specifications of the business model, business case requirements, roadmap, product strategy and features.
    • Oversee company-wide product roll-out, facilitating training for all departments, including the development of product training materials.
    • Meet with customers, sales, Tech Support, QA, industry analysts, management, engineering and engage the research team to understand the overall market and to quantify the specific benefits that customers expect from the product via personal discussions, focus groups, roundtables, surveys, etc.
    • Collaborate on product-marketing plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
    • Lead engineering/marketing commercial project status meetings to ensure project success.
    • Technical understanding to be combined with a sound business acumen and approach.
    • Travel is 50-75%
