    Job Description

    AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned construction General Superintendent to join our team of professionals.

    • Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
    • Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
    • Primary Liaison with client for day-to-day activities and long-term operations.
    • Communicates and directs changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
    • Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
    • Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 10 years of Construction Superintendent experience; or AA/AS and 12 years of relevant experience; or HS/GED and 14 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Construction experience in large scale construction projects, including:
      • Healthcare/life sciences facilities
      • Sports stadiums and arenas
      • Higher education institutions
      • Convention centers and hospitality venues
      • Airports/Aviation
    • Proven experience in the selection, oversight, and management of trade subcontractors.
    • Demonstrated expertise in sequencing and logistics of large construction projects.
    • In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and piping systems.
    • Extensive experience in structural construction techniques and methodologies.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
    • Familiarity with construction management software such as CMiC, Procore, PlanGrid, or similar platforms.
    • OSHA 30-hour certification.
    • First Aid and CPR certification.
    • Leadership experience managing large teams of construction professionals.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
    • Strong knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
