We're on the lookout for a seasoned construction expert with outstanding leadership prowess to bolster our Kalamazoo commercial division. As a Project Superintendent, you'll spearhead commercial construction endeavors, orchestrating daily operations onsite with precision and fostering seamless client communication. Our projects primarily unfold in Kalamazoo and the vibrant landscape of West Michigan. Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning and pricing, to implementation • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors • Develop, update, and implement project schedules • Meet construction budgets by monitoring project expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions • Implement quality assurance and safety assurance programs • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, county officials, and clients • Order, monitor, and coordinate materials and equipment • Manage the final stages of projects, including job completion, punch list resolution, and conducting owner occupancy training Qualifications: • Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, and/or at least 5 years of commercial construction experience • Construction background: Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, materials, and methods • A team player with strong leadership qualities • Candidate must have superior communication skills (both written and verbal) • Excellent organizational skills - ability to plan, execute and deliver project on time and with great quality • Strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and client-first attitude • Very detail-oriented with high standards of workmanship: Accuracy and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this role and continuing our tradition of top-quality projects • Familiarity with Construction code and OSHA regulations • Experience using Construction software and Microsoft Office Our team, company, and outcomes are guided by our core values.
