Job Description
The Commercial Counsel role will support Scaled Agile as a trusted advisor on commercial matters with a focus on sales transactions and related data privacy matters. Responsibilities will include analyzing, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements, data privacy agreements, assessing business risk, and helping evolve the company’s contract management and privacy processes.
What you’ll be doing:
Support company growth by providing outstanding transactional support to worldwide sales teams
Review, negotiate, and draft inbound and outbound commercial agreements with enterprise customers and company vendors
Evolve and optimize company data protection processes and agreements
Support ongoing improvement of company standard form agreements and legal processes
Embrace continuous learning and a commitment to relentless improvement
Qualifications
J.D. degree with admission to and good standing in a U.S. state bar
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney preferably with in-house experience
Strong background in commercial contract analysis and negotiation, preferably within technology
Familiarity with supporting sales teams and efficiently shepherding deals through monthly and quarterly sales cycles
Knowledge and practical understanding of current international data privacy regulations
A business-oriented approach to handling legal complexity and risk
Impeccable standards of ethics and integrity

Compensation:
Scaled Agile is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The target salary range for this role is $125,000- $150,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
