     As a key member of our team, the Commercial Electrical Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for determining the approximate costs of various electrical installations for commercial projects. This individual will be fully responsible for the project from start to finish and should be able to identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistencies between estimated and actual project costs.

    Responsibilities for the Commercial Electrical Estimator:

    • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements, including pricing, invoicing, and project management tasks.
    • Analyze blueprints to determine optimal wire lengths and outlet placements adhering to electrical codes.
    • Research market prices to estimate material and fixture costs for electrical projects accurately.
    • Review subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure accuracy in project cost estimation.
    • Assess labor requirements for each project to determine project feasibility.
    • Evaluate potential profitability of electrical projects to support bidding decisions.
    • Prepare and submit competitive project bids following established guidelines.
    • Manage awarded projects and provide assistance in project management when not involved in estimating tasks.
    • Projects you will complete, but not limited to:
      • Interior and exterior lighting repairs and upgrades
      • Parking lot lighting
      • Metering replacements and upgrades
      • Panel replacements and upgrades
      • EV chargers
      • Power additions and upgrades
      • Aluminum wiring remediation
      • Equipment wiring

     

    Requirements for the Commercial Electrical Estimator:

    • At least 5 years of field experience preferred.
    • Preferably 3 years of estimating experience.
    • Preferably 8 years of experience with low voltage/communication wiring.
    • Service Titan knowledge a plus!
    • Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
    • Proven track record of quickly and efficiently pricing jobs.
    • Sound knowledge of electrical codes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
    • Adept with technology.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
    • Familiarity with Service Titan is a definite plus.
    • Focused self-starter who thrives in a team environment.
    • Demonstrates honesty and integrity.
