Responsibilities for the Commercial HVAC Service Technician:
- Expertly install, inspect, and test new HVAC systems, ensuring full compliance.
- Conduct regular maintenance and servicing to optimize system performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC issues, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration problems.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls, providing efficient and effective repairs.
- Maintain meticulous records of all work performed, including detailed diagnostic and repair reports.
- Communicate with clients, providing understandable explanations and helpful maintenance tips.
Requirements for the HVAC Service Technician:
- 3-5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical training a plus.
- Valid EPA certification: additional certifications (NATE, etc.) are welcomed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Adaptable to flexible hours, including on-call and emergency response.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments.
- Proficient in using power tools and specialized HVAC equipment.
