HVAC Service Tech (Minimum 5 years relevant experience required) – HVAC Service – Cartersville, GA. This shift is a 3-day shift 12 HOURS A DAY Monday-Wednesday SITE SPECIFIC.

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for providing timely and quality repairs of Commercial HVAC equipment/systems while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Must possess the right knowledge to provide HVAC service through the process of diagnosis and repairing of HVAC Equipment and Systems. You will diagnose problems, explain these to customers in clear, non-technical terms, relay costs to customers, and offer alternative solutions. You will order and collect parts once customer gives approval, and communicate with Service Manager regarding challenges. You will work closely with the Service Coordinator making the most effective use of your time to achieve maximum benefit from expense dollars.

Primary Responsibilities:
Performs timely and quality HVAC System repairs in resolving customer complaints
Diagnoses and recommends repairs of HVAC equipment/systems in the customer's facilities and gives the customer an accurate estimate of the cost of repair.
Works as a dedicated team member to ensure fast, flexible and expert service to every customer
Maintains high level of customer satisfaction through efficient and timely customer resolution
Follows the Value-Added Services Process (i.e., identifies opportunities for Preventative Maintenance Agreements, System Upgrades, generates customer recognition for needed additional repairs that lead to cost savings as appropriate) by effectively communicating the benefits to the customer
Direct, train, coach, and evaluate junior level technicians to achieve maximum benefit from expense dollars.
Maintains the highest level of service standards and communicates openly with Dispatcher and Service Manager to assist as needed with resolving customer issues
Recognizes and acts upon every opportunity to drive revenue through the Value-Added Services Program (VASP)
Maintains truck stock inventory and ensures maintenance schedules are within the Company guidelines (i.e., keeping truck clean, oil changes), and ensures tools and equipment are in safe operating condition
Completes all Break/Fix Technician training elements within required timeframes
Ability to communicate, read, understand and apply written text of a technical nature in order to answer questions, solve problems or complete job tasks
Complete knowledge of all tools, equipment and materials used to perform services on Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units
Ability to work variable and flexible hours, including overtime as needed, along with necessary on-call service as needed
Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow appropriate industry specific regulations related to the handling of hazardous materials
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach and climb
Ability to access different levels of terrain while performing duties
Preferred Skills: Ability to accomplish almost any task with little direction.
Understand HVAC Systems, working knowledge of pipe systems associated with HVAC and ancillary systems, Ability to interpret drawings, equipment conditions, electrical schematics, job conditions, and potential problems. Maintain current knowledge of new concepts and technical advances. Keep informed on appropriate codes and industry standards. Utilize manpower planning and monitoring reports to assure proper manning of jobs for maximum productivity. Effective budget management within guidelines. Time management skills.

Possess a full and comprehensive understanding of HVAC Equipment and Systems as it relates to diagnostics and repair and the impact of accurate conclusions and how this impacts customer service.
Possesses understanding in the areas of application, installation and system application. Utilize in house or consultants where skills are weak.
Interprets and analyzes assumptions through the process of deduction as it applies to making accurate conclusions and how this impacts customer loyalty.
