    Commercial HVAC Technician - Facility Services Company - Base Salary to 40.00/hour - Las Vegas, NV

    • Our client is a well-established facility service company, specializing in HVAC and Control services for over 50 years.
    • They are looking for a Commercial HVAC Technician responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial and commercial accounts for their team in the greater Las Vegas, NV area. The Commercial HVAC Technician will have the opportunity to be dispatched directly from your house with a company van to the job site and will be on call rotation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prioritize safety in all job aspects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Respond promptly to no heat as well as no hot water service requests, recognizing time sensitivity
    • Thoroughly evaluates situations to identify the root cause of failures, recommending preventive measures.
    • Hold necessary certification for proper handling of refrigerants and expertise in using HVAC/R diagnostic equipment.
    • Install, troubleshoot, repair, detect leaks, and conduct preventive maintenance on steam and hot water gas boilers, water heaters, pumps, piping, and control systems in addition to typical HVAC systems such as RTU’s and AHU's.
    • Performs electrical work and operate various hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, and test equipment used in the trade.
    • Test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
    • Quality-check work to ensure all repairs were carried out correctly, thoroughly testing the refrigeration system for proper functionality.
    • Travel to job sites efficiently in company van/truck

    Qualifications:

    • Steam/Hydronic Experience: 4+ years experience
    • Boiler Experience: 4+ years experience
    • Proven ability and direct experience of mentoring/training technicians (preferred)
    • EPA Universal (Type II) and/or CFESA certification
    • Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Technical training in Steam/Hydronic as well as Refrigeration/HVAC systems (Preferred)
    • Ability to obtain additional licenses and certifications as needed

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 30.00 - 40.00/hour range
