Job Overview:
Responsible for generating new business and managing existing client relationships. This role involves identifying potential clients, assessing their insurance needs, and providing tailored risk management solutions. The Producer will also maintain a book of business, ensuring retention and growth through exceptional customer service and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect, develop, and maintain a strong general pipeline of commercial clients, primarily trucking companies, logistics businesses, and commercial fleet operators.
Identify client needs and offer insurance products that provide appropriate coverage for their risks.
Prepare and present customized insurance proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with carriers to secure optimal coverage for clients.
Maintain relationships with underwriters and insurance carriers to stay informed on market trends, coverage options, and underwriting guidelines.
Assist clients with policy renewals, modifications, and endorsements to ensure continued coverage that aligns with their evolving needs.
Work closely with account managers and customer service representatives to ensure seamless service and policy management.
Educate clients on regulatory compliance and industry best practices related to transportation insurance.
Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the agency’s overall growth and success.
Stay updated on industry developments, including industry regulations and emerging risks in the transportation sector.
Utilize agency management systems and CRM tools to track sales activities and client interactions.
Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to expand business opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
2-20 Florida P&C license required.
2+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales (transportation or logistics risks a plus).
Strong product and market knowledge.
Proven ability to generate leads and close deals in a competitive market.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze risk factors and provide tailored insurance solutions.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with AMS360, InsuredMine, or similar agency management software preferred.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
