    This position is responsible for being the primary relationship manager for commercial relationships. This includes managing a portfolio of clients and building those relationships while helping people accomplish their financial goals using our full suite of products and your customized service by performing the following duties.

    Job Duties

    • Meets with customers / prospects to determine needs and negotiates deals within policies and risk guidelines.
    • Ensures timely and thorough monitoring of portfolio through periodic reviews, continued analysis, proper credit quality grading and proper documentation.
    • Represents the Bank in local community as appropriate.
    • Reviews and processes construction draws, payments, new loans, and renewals.
    • Prepares and presents all required and requested loan reports in a timely manner.
    • Evaluates and manages each client relationship within assigned portfolio.
    • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
    • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
    • Respectfully takes direction from Supervisor.
    • Manages assigned portfolio within established guidelines.
    • Fosters and maintains strong partnerships and working relationships with all department.
    • Follows documented procedures to execute duties.
    • Presents credits to Loan Committee for approval.
    • Answers loan related questions from customers.
    • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Education & Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant discipline preferred with 3 or more years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience working as a commercial loan officer and managing all aspects of a similar sized portfolio.

    Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations

    This position does not require any certificates, licenses, or registrations.

    Travel Requirement

    This position requires occasional (6-20% of the position) in-state travel for the purpose(s) of client visits. Travel will primarily consist of day trips.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Computer Skills

    Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, create presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
