    THE OPPORTUNITY

    The Project Superintendent will have the opportunity to manage various teams and processes, to include cultivating safety, managing over quality, production, and day-to-day project installations.     WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Ensuring Foreman take ownership in Rusin's “Core Values” and jobsite safety.
    • Ensuring Foreman complete their “Daily Huddle” form, managing daily PPE, task specific PPE, and complete monthly toolbox safety trainings.
    • Coordinating with project management personnel and field teams on daily activities, weekly schedule, specific manpower and equipment needs.
    • Coordinating with field team(s) and dispatch/schedule to ensure concrete orders are placed no later than 48 hours prior to activities. For larger placements (60+ CY) 4 days lead time should be adhered to.
    • Overseeing projects to ensure all work conforms to contract requirements, that all change orders are documented, and costs captured, that concrete orders are managed throughout the placement and no overages are encountered and to minimize call backs.
    • Working with dispatch/scheduler to develop man hour productivity goals for each project. These productivity goals should be created from the job estimate and any deficiency in the estimate should be reported to the Commercial Division Manager.
    • Overseeing Foreman to pre-plan for placements for efficiency and quality.
    • Working with General Contractors, Superintendents, and clients to ensure Rusin is meeting project schedule.
    • Coordinating required inspections with local jurisdictions.
    • Ensuring Foreman are completing inspections on all Rusin equipment and vehicles.
    • Communicating to the General Superintendent on any quality issues, field problems, schedule impacts, safety concerns and employee concerns.
    • Training and teaching Foreman to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the field along with minimizing overtime.
    • Assisting with employee reviews and hiring when required.
    • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

    • Five (5) years' experiences in concrete construction as a Foreman/supervisor, Five (5) years' experience with maintenance and equipment operations, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must know how to decipher architectural and engineering drawings.
    • Must have fundamental understanding of electronics.
    • Must have skill in the operation of all equipment used in concrete flatwork.
    • The ability to follow and teach standard safety practices and procedures common to equipment operation and maintenance work.
    • The ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the general public; ability to effectively motivate employees to work; ability to read grades on stakes and maps.

    WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.
    • May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings and during weekends and may also do shift work and be on call. Generally, work longer hours in summer.
    • Work in all weather conditions such as noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy, and dusty conditions.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with

    hands and arms, stand, talk, hear, walk, use of hands and fingers, material handling, operate tools and equipment.

    • Frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
