  • Responsibilities

    SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

    ‬‬‬ Responsibilities

    • Conduct assessments of commercial property damages to ensure compliance with insurance regulations and FEMA's Public Assistance Program guidelines.
    • Evaluate and document eligibility for NFIP claims and disaster recovery funding.
    • Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to manage insurance-related documentation and maintain transparency.
    • Provide expertise on determination memorandums, appeals, and compliance with FEMA and NFIP regulations.
    • Collaborate with program delivery managers and site inspectors to ensure accurate property insurance evaluations.
    • Stay updated with FEMA training requirements and insurance compliance standards.
    • Prepare detailed reports on property insurance assessments, eligibility, and recovery strategies.

    Requirements

    • Education & Experience:
      • 5 years of experience in a related field with a Bachelor's Degree or
      • 10 years of experience in a related field.
    • National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) certification required.
    • Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
      • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
      • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
      • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal – Transparency at Every Step
      • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
      • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
      • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
      • 7117: Site Inspection
    • Strong understanding of commercial property insurance policies, regulations, and claims processes.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in insurance software and tools for documentation and reporting.
    • Work onsite in North Carolina.
    • EOD Required.
