Metro Refrigeration is a full-service maintenance and repair company headquartered in San Diego, CA. We offer complete refrigeration and HVAC equipment repair, maintenance, and installation services for full-service restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, retailers, coffee shops and concession operations.
Our employees earn top hourly wages (based on experience and knowledge) in addition to receiving a company phone, van and company provided uniforms. This position requires service in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
Properly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial, refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment
Provide the highest level of service to the customer and professionally communicate the service needed to customers and management.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
Legibly document and maintain accurate records for services performed on behalf of the customer.
Consult with management to get needed parts ordered.
Communicate with manufacturers as needed to help with diagnosing problems with equipment.
Install parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner.
Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
High School graduate/GED or the equivalent
Three years of experience as a refrigeration/HVAC equipment technician
Must be EPA certified.
CEFESA certification is a plus.
Additional experience in gas, electric, and/or steam repairs is a plus.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Own industry’s standard hand tools.
Excellent organization skills.
Must be motivated, a self-starter and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision.
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to work on rotational on call as needed.
