Your Role as Commercial Superintendent:

As the Superintendent, you’ll be the on-site leader, managing all construction activities from groundbreaking through final punch list on $8M+ commercial projects across South Carolina. You’ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and trades to ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule compliance.

• Oversee all field and subcontractor activity from mobilization to close-out

• Maintain job site organization, safety, and productivity

• Ensure projects meet plans, specs, and change directives

• Coordinate materials, inspections, and equipment deliveries

• Maintain and enforce compliance with safety standards (including stormwater and environmental)

• Conduct weekly progress meetings and maintain daily logs and safety reports

• Partner with PM on budget control, scope review, and logistics planning

• Lead short-interval scheduling and solve field challenges proactively

• Review submittals and quality of installation by all trades

• Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, suppliers, and team members

• Manage site cleanliness, layout, and workflow

• Travel to project sites throughout SC (travel primarily in-state)

What You Bring:

• 5+ years as a Commercial Superintendent with ground-up experience

• Project experience of $8 million+ required

• Strong skills in scheduling, ordering, supervision, safety, and QC

• Experience with a variety of commercial building types (K-12, higher ed, hospitality, etc.)

• Proven ability to lead multiple teams and maintain timelines and budgets

• Ability to read and understand plans, contracts, and scopes of work

• Proficiency in construction technology, reporting tools, and job site documentation

• OSHA 10/30, CPR, and Safety certifications are a plus

• Hands-on leadership style and excellent communication skills

• Must live within 1 hour of Columbia, SC or be willing to relocate

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. – no visa sponsorship available
