Commercial Tire is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the greater Washington area.

POSITION OVERVIEWThis position is responsible for obtaining sales goals and creating strategies in all commercial categories within their assigned region.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a personal relationship with the large accounts within the region and reports to management calls – satisfaction, opportunities to develop and future direction.
- Helps manages sales force and service personal in region for efficiencies.
- Monitors after hours performance.
- Complete online training as required by management.
- Monthly time management generally should be defined below:
- 1/3 of the time training sales force - on items such as:
- Communicating, Facilitating, and organizing manufacturer online training.
- Bandag Training to include:
- Basys and fleet analyzer training.
- Other as requested by stores or management.
- Assist in establishing a list of target accounts within the region and reports progress to the zone manager and corporate management.
- Creates, manages, analyses and monitors fleet management programs within the region.
- Coordinates monthly and quarterly fleet inspections.
- Direct daily sales activity of outside sales team, assists in defining the goals, and helps support their goals.
- Call on accounts as needed with and without the sales team, supports and provides guidance to outside salesman by enhancing their sales ability and ability to project a high level of professionalism in the region.
- Provides customers with knowledgeable, courteous and prompt service at all times, while being sensitive to their needs. A team player committed to continuous improvement.
- Champions safe work practices and Commercial Tire’s safety guidelines and standards.
- Helps Monitors and control store inventory according to Company policies and procedures.
- Review Bandag NRT and Basys reports and reviews with sales force for actionable items.
- Submits production reports for sales and service for area of responsibility.
- Monitors and measure progress of outside salesmen using the establish company guidelines.
- Submits expense reports to direct manager on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Manage and maintain Fleet Profiles within the region to insure fleet pricing commitments and consistency.
- Submits weekly RSM Summary report and daily calls through Telenotes.
- Assists with employee relations items to include, hiring, retention, training, mentoring, and feedback.
- Operates and maintains company vehicles to standards, including, but not limited to: regular maintenance; cleanliness; fueling and tracking fuel receipts; insurance coverage, general upkeep, inspections, and registration.
- Additional goals and responsibilities will be set at management discretion.

QUALIFICATIONS – UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE, THESE ARE PREFERRED
High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 2-years college or technical school in business related field.
Minimum 5-years experience in the tire industry in outside sales.
Regular attendance and punctuality is required and is an essential job function.
REGIONAL SAELS MANAGER DEIVERABLES
- Obtain Monthly and Annual Commercial Sales Budgets for assigned Stores.
- Obtains both Monthly and Annual Gross Profit Goal for assigned Store.
- Sales Budget and GP Goal may increase or decrease with Tire Manufacturer Price Increases.
- Call on Prospect Account with Regional Salesman, Outside Salesman and Account Manager 2-3 days per week.
- Work 10-15 Target Accounts. 1 day per week
- Hit assigned unit goals by manufacturer for assigned Stores
- Maintain New Tires to Retread Ration for assigned Stores
- Communicate all Sales Call activity with Telenotes
DIRECT REPORTS TO THE ZONE MANAGER
This includes but not limited to Time Off, Weekly and Monthly Schedules. This schedule may change week to week or month to month based on the priorities of the Zone.
ALL SALES DIRECTION WILL COME FROM CHRIS WATSON
This includes but not limited to the following:
- Communication of Salesman daily and weekly activity and use of Telentotes.
- Communication of Regional Salesman monthly quota – Sales Budget for assigned Stores.
- Communication of Outside Salesman monthly quota – Gross Profit Goal for assigned Accounts.
- Communication of Account Manager monthly quota – Individual GP Goal for assigned Accounts.
- Conduct Monthly Sales Meeting – Review Target Account Call Activity, Daily Calls and Sales Budget.
- Review of Regional Sales Manager Deliverables.
