    Job Description

    **About Commonfund:
** Commonfund is a leading asset management firm that empowers educational institutions, foundations, pension funds, family offices, RIAs, and other sophisticated investors to achieve their most important goals. Through our Outsourced CIO business, we provide nonprofits access to world-class investment management solutions. Our CF Private Equity business provides access to private equity investments for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations seeking to diversify their portfolios with private investments. Our Commonfund Institute is among the nation’s most trusted sources for relevant, useful, and proprietary data, analytics, and best practices in financial management. All our businesses are united by a relentless commitment to investment performance matched by an equally relentless commitment to the values of trust, transparency, and ethical behavior that have inspired us since our founding more than fifty years ago.

    About Commonfund OCIO:

Commonfund’s Outsourced CIO solution is designed to ensure that educational institutions, foundations, and other nonprofit organizations have the financial resources they need to achieve their most important commitments. By assuming responsibility for managing each client’s complex, global portfolio, we provide a depth of investment experience and breadth of resources that few institutions have access to on their own. Because of our singular focus on nonprofits, we can provide assistance and insights to our clients that go well beyond investing, helping them with virtually every facet of managing the financial resources of their organization.

    Summer Intern Position Overview:

Commonfund OCIO provides total portfolio management for endowment and foundation clients. Our total institutional approach to investment management involves addressing wide-ranging factors that extend well beyond portfolio management. We apply the endowment model of investing to institutional portfolios, providing investment flexibility by using independent sub-advisers for discretionary and non-discretionary outsourcing engagements. Our programs incorporate both active and passive strategies in equities, fixed income, hedge funds, real assets, and private capital.

Our Outsourced Chief Investment Office Team takes a total institutional approach to investment management, addressing wide-ranging factors that extend well beyond portfolio management. We work collaboratively with our clients on all aspects of portfolio management, including investment policy review, asset allocation, portfolio construction, monitoring, rebalancing, risk management and reporting.

The Summer Intern program will provide exposure to the investment and financial world of asset management. It offers an opportunity to work alongside professionals with a range of experiences that support client-related needs across select teams at Commonfund. The intern will gain exposure to various aspects of the investment process including the different asset classes in which Commonfund invests.

We are currently seeking candidates looking for a summer 2024 internship with the goal of converting the individual(s) into a full-time employee upon graduation. Interns will be provided the appropriate training and mentoring needed to succeed in the role.
