    Position Summary:

    The Communications Coordinator drives the overall success of Dove Recovery House for Women’s mission by successfully planning, managing and implementing a range of communication/marketing efforts that improve the organization’s presence and positive image in the community.

    Position Duties Include:

    Communications & Content Creation:

    • Implement and maintain a comprehensive marketing and communications plan and work in partnership with the Director of Development, leadership, and the development and marketing committees to increase awareness and support for Dove House.
    • Prepares communications for acknowledgement letters, newsletters, annual impact report, direct mail pieces and correspondence with and for donors, partners, supporters, community members and staff that showcase Dove House.
    • Coordinate and manage all communication channels, including website, social media platforms, newsletters, and email marketing campaigns to ensure engaging and consistent messaging. Ensure timely and thoughtful responses to inquiries on social media, increasing community interaction and engagement.
    • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize content for donor engagement, visibility, and awareness.

    Community Engagement :

    • Actively seek opportunities to engage the community to learn about the organization through community fairs, presentations, partnerships, donor connections and educational sessions and volunteer recruitment.
    • Assist in fundraising events including coordination and writing of correspondence, coordination of volunteers, and execution of event.
    • Ensure an active volunteer program to support staff and our clients and manage Speakers Bureau, assigning volunteers to share the organization’s mission throughout the community.

    Required Education and Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Canva.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, website management (WordPress), basic HTML knowledge is a plus.
    • Proficiency in creating digital media and storytelling.
    • Photography and video content creation experience, including basic editing skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience required. Two years’ experience with communication and marketing tools, systems and hardcopy writing communication pieces required.
    • Experience and/or ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse audience.
