We are seeking a talented and dynamic Communication Coordinator to support the development and execution of both internal and external communication efforts. This position will play a key role in aligning messaging with the company’s mission, values, and business goals, ensuring clarity and consistency across all communication channels. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Strategic Communications and cross-functional teams to develop high-quality written and visual content that engages our audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing communications and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with executive messaging, brand vision, company culture, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to create and distribute internal and external communications materials such as newsletters, emails, proposals, presentations, social media posts, press releases, event invitations, and more.
- Support company events (internal and external) by coordinating with colleagues, vendors, and volunteers.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews on platforms like Google, Yelp, and BBB, ensuring responses are thoughtful and professional.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to design on-brand visuals that complement written content, including graphics, layouts, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all written content adheres to brand guidelines, company tone, and voice.
- Work with other departments and committees to maintain the accuracy and quality of communication materials.
- Conduct market research and create reports on campaign performance, advising on future strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, providing creative ideas to improve communication efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Communications.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, or a combination of 4 years of relevant education and work experience.
- Portfolio showcasing past written communication pieces and graphic design work is required.
Qualifications:
- Job Knowledge: Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, skilled in research and applying new knowledge. Familiarity with HOA/management experience is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and professional writing ability. Strong editing and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail. Able to tailor content for various platforms.
- Project Management: Ability to plan, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying and resolving issues early, with the ability to offer creative solutions in team brainstorming settings.
- Planning & Organization: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to changing demands and feedback, with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet software, email, and custom applications.
- Strong graphic design skills, particularly in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
