    P17 Solutions, LLC is looking to expand our communications teams. We are seeking Communications Specialists with all levels of experience to support our government client in Washington DC. These positions will be critical to P17 Solutions' success by building relationships across the client program and for building products to help the client communicate with stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.

    FT/PT/Contractor: Full-Time, Exempt Security Clearance: The top candidate must be able to obtain a public trust clearance, by participating in an extensive federal government background investigation. Primary Location: Washington, DC (Candidate must either be local or open to re-location to the DC area) Travel: 10%

    What Positions Will Entail: Specific responsibilities include:

    Collaborative work with client and other agency personnel

    Develop program briefings to senior executives and other internal/external stakeholders, including presentation agendas, outlines, and talking points to support these events

    Use discretion with information and in conversations that are sensitive, involve workforce decisions, and involve programs that are subject to non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)

    Developing and editing written products including articles, memos, event invitations, website content, and other correspondence

    Coordinating with stakeholders to deliver presentations and provide feedback according to program timelines

    Facilitate program presence at conferences, events, and meetings

    Tracking action items and helping the client meet deadlines

    Scheduling meetings/off-sites with multiple stakeholders, planning agendas, facilitating, and following up with attendees regarding actions

    Communicating with customers at various levels of seniority and technical knowledge, conveying respect and instilling confidence in ability to meet their needs

    Completing work independently and in a team environment

    Being proactive about identifying challenges or opportunities and proposing unique approaches, even in an ambiguous environment

    Requirements: The following are skills that are specific to our communications roles:

    Entry Level: At least an Associates’ Degree and 5 years relevant experience, or a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree, and 3 years relevant experience. Degree preferably in Communications, Journalism or English

    MID-Senior Level: To be considered for mid-to-senior level positions, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree with 5 years related experience or a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree with 10 years related experience. Degree preferably in Communications, Journalism or English

    Messaging/Content Development: Strong experience with the creation of messages targeted to a specific audience using communication channels appropriate for the audience.

    Stakeholder Engagement/Management: Experience with the process by which an organization involves people who may be affected by the decisions it makes or can influence the implementation of its decisions.

    Outreach: Experience with providing information and services to a targeted population who might otherwise not have access to the information and services.

    (Desired) Facilitation: Familiarity with planning and executing sessions that help a group of people to understand their common objectives and then assisting them to plan how to achieve these objectives.

    (Desired) Team Building: Familiarity with activities used to enhance social relations and define roles within teams, often involving collaborative tasks.

    (Desired) FAA or Government Agency experience

    The Client Experience The client is a large program at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that supports information exchange in the national airspace system (NAS).
