Company Overview i9 Sports operates youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-15. We run the most popular recreational sports including flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. Our focus is on FUN, development, and sportsmanship. We make it easy for busy families with only a 1 day a week commitment and make it all inclusive for the entire family. We are the largest multi-sport provider in the nation. Job Summary The Communications Specialist works alongside the Program Directors to help manage the leagues, communicate with our members, and grow brand awareness. You will manage the day-to-day communication of the local leagues including email responses, some marketing responsibilities, coach recruitment, and various customer service duties. You will ensure the highest level of brand standards are executed and core concepts are continuously demonstrated. We pride ourselves on being available and following up quickly to set us apart from other leagues. This is primarily a work from home position with occasionally in person meetings. 2 Saturdays per month are required to be at the venues to fully understand how the leagues operate. (Part-Time, 15-20 hours per week).
Coach Recruitment
Build and update the coach sheets for every new season.
Call/Text/Email teams and parents to find volunteers.
Help coaches complete the volunteer process (volunteer application and background check).
Customer Service
Answer all Emails for each location within a 24-48 hour period.
Keep our software up to date on customer issues and follow up until resolved.
Respond to reviews and comments from our seasonal survey.
Operations
Visit venues 2 Saturdays per month to interact with our customers in person.
Stay up to date on group chats to support various channels of the business.
Attend trainings and in person meetings when necessary.
Qualifications
Excellent communication & organization skills.
At least one year of experience in Communications and/or Public Relations.
Experience with Google Drive, Word, and Excel.
Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems.
Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of participants.
Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
Ability to work a varied work schedule including some nights and weekends.
Able to work 15-20 hours a week, primarily Mon-Fri in the mornings or early afternoon.
(Pay is $18.00-$20.00 depending on experience)
