EMAG Technologies Inc. is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer to join our team in developing and implementing state of the art RF Communications Systems for both Satellite and Missile Defense Related Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and define requirements for hardware and software development activities associated with Radio Frequency Communications.
• Support implementation and development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems operating in perturbed environments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and standards for use in Software Defined Radio systems.
• Capable of performing test and evaluation engineering of Radio Frequency Systems

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, Physics or Computer Science.
• 3-10 years' experience
• Working Knowledge of RF Communications Theory & Digital Signal Processing
• Experience with MATLAB and other Communications Simulation Tools
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Signal Acquisition & Synchronization Techniques
• Familiarity with Error Detection & Correction Codes (EDAC) & Architectures
• Knowledge of Radio Frequency Systems of Chip (SoC) Technologies
• Experience with design and/or testing of Radio Frequency devices and/or communication systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols used in Military Radio Frequency communication systems including Satellite & Terrestrial Systems.
• Knowledge of Military & Space Environments as it relates to Hardware Design & Test
• Knowledge of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) development & VHDL coding as it relates to SDR Architectures
