Job Summary Do you want to put a smile on a child's face? Do you want to improve the health of your community? As a Community Health Worker you will touch every aspect of our work developing a vast array of skills. You will provide assistance in our school clinics, teach children in their classrooms, and organized your assigned schools for services. We provide a scholarship for your CHW certificate and a stipend for an apprenticeship. Responsibilities
Community outreach: Attend 2 after school events each month Serve as the liaison and organizer to assigned schools
Classroom education: Teach our oral health curriculum in a classroom setting
Clinical services: Prepare supplies and equipment for upcoming clinic Work as a team with other CHWs and dental providers to provide dental services Record exam/treatment in our software Support post clinic processes
Administrative services: Maintains connections with parents/caregivers and low-cost dental clinics Assist with scanning consent forms to NESS and into Open Dental Help maintain counts for grant information resource Record all patient care management information and contacts in NESS Perform enrollment activities
Qualifications
High school degree minimum, Associates or Bachelors preferred
Bilingual speakers preferred, Spanish highly desired
Strong computer and data entry skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to provide high-quality patient care
Transportation/drivers license required
