    Community Outreach Coordinator

    Position Overview:

    The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Community Outreach plan under the direction of the Executive Director. This role focuses on increasing awareness and understanding of the Family Support Organization of Essex County (FSOEC) and its services for families raising children with emotional, behavioral, intellectual, developmental, or substance use challenges.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Communication & Education:

    Effectively communicate the FSOEC's existence and functions to families.

    Provide ongoing education to system partners and the community through presentations and forums on family issues and FSOEC's role.

    · Community Engagement:

    Participate in local and state committees and work groups organized by the Children’s System of Care and other entities.

    Disseminate information about FSOEC services through various channels (meetings, social media, newsletters, brochures, email, direct mail, press releases, public service announcements).

    · Outreach & Support:

    Identify and serve families through outreach and marketing efforts.

    Coordinate peer support groups, workshops, and other activities for families.

    · Information & Volunteer Management:

    Manage information and referral services.

    Facilitate volunteer opportunities for families to engage with the FSOEC.

    · Additional Duties:

    Perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum BS in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent.

    Certification in project Management a plus.

    Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills are essential

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Experience in community outreach, education, or related fields.

    Knowledge of the Children’s System of Care is a plus.
