Job type: Part-time and Full-time, Shift schedule, Weekends as needed. Day shift/Nightshift Pay type: Paid Bi-weekly Location: San Antonio, TX, Bexar and surrounding County Region
Responsibilities: Provide compassionate, personalized in-home care to individuals in need, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance. Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying up living areas, laundry, and meal preparation to create a comfortable and clean environment for clients. Foster strong relationships with clients and their families, actively engaging in conversations while offering emotional support and companionship. Accompany clients on outings, shopping trips, and appointments, ensuring their safety and security at all times. Requirements:
Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred. Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, their families, and other team members. Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately. Compassionate and empathetic nature, treating clients with dignity, respect, and kindness. Reliable and punctual, demonstrating flexibility in work schedules to meet client needs. Must undergo a background check Reliable transportation are necessary for client visits. Job Conditions:
The ability to access clients' homes, which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible, are required. Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the client's condition and to perform client care/services. Required to bend, stoop, reach, and move client. Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds. Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Part-time and full-time positions
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred BLS certification, required. The company offers the certification training for candidates who may not posses it. Must have completed a minimum of 5 training videos, which includes an introduction to personal care services. Must comprehend the basics of personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation. Must understand and respect clients' including ethics and confidentiality of care. Ability to to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting Basic knowledge and understanding of PPE protocols and universal precautions. The Agency will run a criminal history check, nurse aid registry, employee misconduct registry, and US/Texas OIG Database checks on all personnel. Employment is contingent upon the results of the investigation. If hired, the US/Texas OIG Database checks will be conducted on a monthly basis, and the misconduct registry /nurse aid registry checks will be conducted annually. Employees will not be eligible to retain employment if they do not clear all the required background checks.
