Right at Home West Los Angeles is looking for a mature, compassionate, and engaging male caregiver for a full-time position in Santa Monica.

Our 94 year old client is recently widowed and is looking for a caregiver who will offer companionship, assistance eating meals, and if possible, going out for appointments or outings.

The right male caregiver is enjoys engaging in conversation, offering assistance to a lady, and able to be attentive/assist in ambulating, as needed. We are looking for a male caregiver who is of retirement age and is interested in being a senior helping another senior. Your ability to empathically listen, share stories and fun conversation, and help a lady get from room to room is the main part of the job. She lives in an assisted living facility so no actual meal preparation or light housekeeping is required. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

Job Duties (but are not limited to):

Assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)

Transport clients to appointments and engage in activities

Provide medication reminders and support medication management

Prepare meals considering dietary restrictions

Light housekeeping and companionship

Requirements:

Experience as a caregiver or similar role preferred

Compassionate, patient, and reliable

Must have Home Care Aide (HCA) license, recent TB test, and CPR certification (online through National CPR Foundation or the like ok)

Must be a mature male caregiver
