Job Title: Homecare Caretaker - Immediate Opening! (Mon-Sat, 12 PM - 6 PM)
Company: ComfortCare Homecare (South Windsor, CT)
Seeking a kind and reliable Caretaker for an immediate part-time position: Monday - Saturday, 12 PM - 6 PM. Provide essential support and companionship to a client in their home.
Responsibilities May Include:
Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Providing medication reminders.
Preparing light meals and assisting with feeding.
Light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
Offering companionship and engaging in meaningful conversations and activities.
Assisting with mobility and transfers within the home.
Observing and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel.
Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the client.
Adhering to ComfortCare Homecare's policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, certified nursing assistant (CNA), or similar role is preferred but not always required. We value individuals with a genuine desire to care for others.
A compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliability and punctuality are crucial for this consistent schedule.
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on client needs.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
